Raptors face many threats in the wild, including lead poisoning, environmental pollution, collisions with power lines, and even trophy shooting. The survival of these species is important to our planet, though, so when these birds are injured and rescued, their rehabilitation is important. 

Most raptors are considered apex predators, meaning they play a key role in shaping the population of their prey species and in regulating their ecosystems. Without them, nature would lose its balance.

The Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center is often tasked with caring for individual raptors and providing what they need to regain their wings. Will you help give such birds the space they need to recover?

Greater Good Charities' Rescue Rebuild program is headed to the Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center for an exciting renovation this June, and you can be part of the project!
