Help leading researchers find a cure for Alzheimer's disease.

Alzheimer's is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. The disease is the most common cause of dementia—a series of brain disorders that results in the loss of intellectual and social skills that are severe enough to interfere with day-to-day life. Today, the most cutting edge Alzheimer's medications and management strategies can temporarily improve symptoms, but still there is no cure. With over 5 million Americans living with the disease, and 1 in 3 seniors dying with Alzheimer's or another dementia, it is vital, now more than ever, to fund innovative research to find a cure.

Cure Alzheimer's Fund (CAF) takes a venture capital approach to medical research by finding the visionaries in the field and supporting their efforts. CAF's objective is to support the scientists doing the most innovative work that will move knowledge of Alzheimer's pathology most expeditiously to prevention and a cure. One such visionary is Dr. Thomas C. Sϋdhof of Stanford University, a member of Cure Alzheimer's Fund's Research Consortium. In October of 2013, Dr. Sϋdhof was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his Alzheimer's research.

With your help, we can cover crucial ground in the fight against Alzheimer's disease through innovative research.

Cure Alzheimer's Fund is dedicated to funding research with the highest probability of preventing, slowing, or reversing Alzheimer's disease through venture based philanthropy. All organizational expenses are paid for by the Founders and Board, allowing all other contributions to be applied directly to Alzheimer's disease research.
