Per updated CDC recommendations, doubling face masks, using both disposable and reusable together, can help reduce virus transmission. Face coverings like this one are intended for personal use in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies.)
Royal Handicrafts has been a source of gorgeously handmade items for over 15 years, proudly supporting nearly 400 artisans in Thaiba, Lalitpur Nepal. Many of the artisans have been using their skills since childhood and early adulthood, learning from family members and others within the community to create these intricately made items. Fabric scraps are recycled or transformed into other Royal Handicraft items, like the patchwork bags and jackets. Economical and environmentally friendly!
By supporting Royal Handicrafts, you are providing opportunities for the artisans and their families -- enabling them to pay for food, clothing, a good education, and other basic expenses. A powerful impact with every purchase.
A different design and definitely smaller than the Paint the Sky Tie-Dye masks also made in Nepal from the same wonderfully soft fabric. The fit is helped by the metal nose piece and chin dart but is only just big enough top-to-bottom for an average sized face. Ear-to-ear, I had to move the adjusters all the way to the end of the ear loops. If I take time to make them absolutely secure next to my head before putting on my glasses, the mask is comfortable to wear. Retail is a tough challenge because masks tend to move when you talk. More space in front of your mouth helps. I think Jayne would not be disappointed in the Paint the Sky Tie-Dye masks.
This mask is way too small for me. I am 5'8" and have a larger hat size. Was so disappointed. I work retail and have to wear a mask about 9 hours a day. I couldn't have this on more than 10 minutes, even with the side beads removed. It seems to be well made and it is cute. I will give it to someone for their child.
